Yeah, that’s rude.  I completely understand how in some industries it’s inevitable (like, going to the gyno when she has a patient giving birth…yeah….she’s gonna be late!), but a hair appointment?  You should be able to plan for that.  It’s not like you walked in 20 minutes late and expected them to get you in ASAP.

On another related note, customer service is a completely dead art.  I would never DREAM of rolling my eyes at a client, no matter how frustrating they are (and you were NOT frustrating!)

that’s happened to me.  it is frustrating.  i always like to be on time for appointments too but unfortunately not everyone feels the same. 

it only takes one person in the morning to be late and that dictates the scheduling for the rest of the day.

I HATE being late so I always show up way too early. 90% of the time, the person I have the appt with is running late. It’s very annoying.
