    My wedding set from my first marriage was 18 karat gold (with channel-set diamonds) and it held up great for the 9 years I wore them.

    My 14k plain gold band is all scratched up.  I just don’t want to get it buffed out, though.

    Also agree that I prefer less gold in my rings, for durability. Mine is 14k

    I went platinum. I like the feel of I can knock you out with my ring. I am a klutz with almost no feeling in that hand. I’ve been wearing this ring for over 6 months still looks new.

    I have 14k e-ring and purchased a 10k wedding band. They are the same style and you can’t tell the difference in metals. I will also get them soldered together.

    my engangement ring is 10K white gold. for myself i would never choose anything above 14k because i work with my hands and im very clutzy, and the higher karats are softer. it just so happened that the ring i loved was 10K 🙂
