I say yes. You need someplace to put your feet up when you are absolutely exhausted. I personally got a leather recliner glider, I love laying in it and putting my feet up and my baby isn’t even here yet.

I just had a regular rocking chair with my first, and that was fine.  With our second baby, we also got a glider and ottoman for the living room (in addition to the rocking chair in the nursery), and the ottoman is nice, but definitely not necessary.

I don’t even have children and know I would want the ottoman.  I love being able to put my feet up, especially when I’m extra tired.

ETA: Obviously, if money is an issue, it isn’t really necessary.  But if money isn’t an issue, I’d definitely vote “Yes”.

I wasn’t going to go to the extra expense either, but after sitting in them for a few minutes….they’re SO comfy.  I want one!

Oh my gosh, I love the ottoman that came with our glider. Baby hasn’t arrived yet, and I LOVE sitting in the nursery and rocking with my feet up on the ottoman. I would definitely get it! It’s so nice to have your feet up!
