I did for a couple hours when we first got engaged because some people didn’t answer their phones but then I took it down and put up a picture of both of us right after we got engaged (so the ring was still included).

@jen24au: I think it’s tacky and wouldn’t personally do it.  I did however put up a pic of me drinking from a glass with my ring facing forward and wrote, “let’s play I-SPY” However, as Knubbsy said I have lots of friends who did the same thing as her. I didn’t judge them for it.

I think a pic with you wearing the ring is much nicer. I would personally be put off by a pic of just the ring. Like someone was trying to show off the ring, not that they are engaged.

Personally, I think it’s cool because I like to see people’s rings. Heck, I already know what you look like, show me some ring porn ;).

I didn’t do it myself, though, because I know some people find it obnoxious.

@brenna1035: said it perfectly.

A close up of the ring just doesn’t come off right, post it on your wall, but not as your profile picture.

lol. I think its funny to do that.  I have put up maybe one picture of my e-ring by itself but then I quickly took it down.  Although I am excited about being engaged, I dont want anyone to think I am just trying to show off.  Whatever, its facebook–I dont really give it that much importance. LOL!

I think it’s tacky, but at the same time, I’m ALWAYS wanting to see a ring pic when my friends get engaged. So, I posted one of mine (in an album). I guess I’m a hypocrite. 😛

Yea, I think it’s kind of lame, but not something I would be surprised by.
