Yes, it's completely ok since the reception is immediately following and at the same location. : (60 votes)

@speulie – well, i guess it just depends on how many places you want to go.  we chose 4 hours literally because that was the minimum time we could rent the trolley lol!  (we did a trolley instead of a limo, very fun)  i thought that sounded like more than enough time but i was totally surprised with how long everything took.  to give you an idea, our basic timeline went like this:

    9am – 1pm: got ready seperately

1pm – 2pm: trolley picked up the girls, brought them to the boys, we did our first look and some photos at the house

2pm – 5pm: took photos at a local park (wanted to go into a really cute neighborhood too and do fun shots on the cobblestone streets but that didn’t happen, oh well)

5pm: dropped off at the venue to wait for our 6:30 ceremony… yes that sounds like a long time to wait, but it flew by and let us settle down and chill out before hand which was very nice.

so do what you think is best 🙂  personally, i get SUPER stressed out if i am rushed so chose this option as a way to not stress on my big day and it totally worked.  Good luck with all your plans and most importantly have fun on your wedding day!!!
