I had two maids of honor, and it worked out great!!! I’ve had two BFFs for a long time, and I couldn’t choose between the two. They were both really happy to be a part of the wedding party and honored to be MOHs, and it was nice having that extra support 🙂

I had a maid of honor and matron of honor!  My sister was my MaidOH, but she isn’t into the whole planning thing, and isn’t all that reliable, while my sister-in-law (who I’m also very close with) loves planning, is reliable, and knows my style and preferences.  I wanted her to be in charge of things, but didn’t feel right asking her to do Maid/Matron of Honor duties without the title, so she is my MatronOH and will stand behind my sister in the wedding.  🙂

@cherryblossomlove:  Nope, I think it’s becoming more and more common! I was in the exact same boat as you – both of my MOHs lived in Seattle, so I recruited the help of my BMs here in Houston on a lot of the wedding planning stuff.
