(Closed) is it ok to have one usher?

I think one of the groomsmen could do double duty. 70-80 people are a lot for one usher to seat.

Except for the best man, the groomsmen don’t really have any other duties that would prevent them from helping out with seating your guests.

I could be dreaming this, but I think I had once heard 1 usher per 75 ppl.

I had around 100 at my ceremony and had 2 ushers.  We probably could have gotten by with one.  But, you could need a 2nd for other last minute jobs.

we had one usher for 70 people and it worked out fine.  we didn’t have a seating arrangement for the ceremony, so people just sat either on the grooms or brides side.  we did have reserved rows but the people who were suppose to sit there already knew it was reserved for them.
