(Closed) is it ok to tell guests to bring someone after the invitations sent?

@skschick:  That’s not offensive. I think it was actually considerate to call and give her the option.

That should be fine. If she does get offended (which is her own choice), then you can simply explain that with all the stress of wedding planning and you not keeping in touch with her that often, that you simply forgot to put her boyfriend’s name on the invitation.

We sent out invitations with the wrong names on them, missed a few partners…mistakes happen. It’s not the end of the world.

You did fine. 

It was nice of you to remember him… doesn’t matter that you made the oversight originally… and to let her know when she said she was planning to come (BONUS POINTS for her being so polite as to not say anything to you… inquiring as to the status of her invite as a Single vs Plus One)
