I think with wedges, they’d be perfect!

I think they would be fine, but you may want to consider a cute summer dress, as that probably would be more of the apparel that the other guests will wear.  I think the slacks are really cute, but I would ask if the outfit looks “wedding” or not.  Even if it is casual, you may want to be a little more dressy.

I think the pants would be fine based on what you said you’re pairing them with. Those pants look like they can certainly be dressed up with the right top and shoes.

Oh and I know a lot of people who prefer to wear some sort of pants or slacks to a wedding. A few women I know just hate the way dresses and skirts look on them so they stick to dressing up pants.

I wore something similar to a wedding last spring. I was comfortable and never felt ‘underdressed’.  I think it is perfect for the weather you mentioned and with your wedge heels!

@Cash000:  I think you’re fine because you’re pairing the slacks with a light top.  Don’t worry!

@Cash000: IMO – I wouldnt wear black or pants. Do you have a different color or even a skirt would be better?

The black is an old rule.  Any colour goes now with the exception of white/off white.  It never applied to black pants anyway.  Go for the pants if that’s what you feel best in!

From Peggy Post:

It’s now acceptable for female guests to wear black to weddings, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Black choices, however, should be more ornate than reserved, to give off an air of celebration rather than mourning. Sometimes, adding a little color (vibrant flower pins and scarves work wonderfully for weddings) rounds off the somber look well.

So don’t worry about the black!  Even for formal events many women don’t feel comfortable in skirts or dresses.  This is more casual so the pants will be fine.

That shirt looks great!  You could get off with that for even a slightly more formal wedding.
