Dress pants are okay if the blouse is festive and/or fancy.  If you wear a pantsuit that would look good too.  You don’t want to look like you’re going to the office.  You still want to look like you’re going to a wedding.

Totally depends on the wedding and the setting.

it depends on where and when it would be held. Dress pants are fine, as long as you accesorise well and the top is super elegant- chic and wedding like.

Totally! I agree though, make it a more fun shirt rather than like a button down that is rather office-y.

A dress is never required. If you prefer wearing pants, then do that. No one has the right to judge you for it.

@Tswife4ever: Yes. At least 2 ladies at our wedding wore dress pants. No one batted an eye at it. I agree with PP, just make sure that you don’t look like you are going to an office meeting.

Yes it is ok to wear pants! lol. I HATE wearing dresses so I always wear a cute pant/top outfit to weddings.

Yup, totally ok to wear pants.  As others mentioned though, just make sure the top is a bit fancier – you really don’t want to look like you’re headed in for a day at the office.  Perhaps a shinier top or something with texture to it would be a nice touch.
