(Closed) Is it okay not to have programs?

i did programs for my wedding. i think they’re nice to have, but not really necessary. no one will miss them if you don’t have them.

We didn’t have them & as far as I know, no one complained or missed them!  I wanted to do them, but by time I realized it would be cute, my time frame was rather short at that point :/

Bored6:  Yes, it’s ok not to have them. Programs may be nice but your guests realy don’t need to know exactly what’s happening and in what order. Their only task is to watch.

Yes. Programs are for theatre plays, not weddings.

Bored6:  We did programs, mainly because it was a hot day and we did them on card stock with a handle to make fans. Almost nobody got them. We had tons left. Don’t waste your time or money!

We didn’t bother, and no-one commented. I just felt they were a bit pointless. We did out a rough time-scale on our website though in case anyone was interested.

I wouldn’t bother. They’re pretty unnecessary. We never did them and I’m sure nobody missed them.

I don’t think they’re necessary unless there are elements of your ceremony that you’d like to explain or if you are changing locations and want people to have a reminder. I’m DIYing mine so that they can double as fans. We’re having an outdoor wedding in July and thought it would just be “nice to have.”

I have never been to a wedding that had programs so I didn’t even know it was a thing until recently.

I didn’t order paper programs since i think it’s a horrible waste of paper but I am having a large framed mirror with our program painted on. After the wedding I can scratch the paint off and hang the frame in our home.

We didn’t have them, we had a big chalkboard program! It was cheap and effective!
