Okay so Fiance and I have decided that we want to do a feet washing ceremony during our wedding ceremony. (I KNOW it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but we love the idea and the symbolism.) Initally, we were going to do a sand ceremony instead of the unity candle.
My question to you lovely bees is, do you think it will be too much to do both the feet washing ceremony and a sand ceremony? Also do you think it will make the ceremony too long?

personally i think it would, but i don’t like unity ceremonies to begin with and want a super short ceremony. i think you should do whatever you want, though!

Eh, if you really, really want it, I’d say go for it. Some people might be annoyed at the length of the ceremony; but if that’s how they feel about it, what are they doing there anyway?

@MrsDiddles: I would not view a foot-washing ceremony AS a unity ceremony but, rather, a separate component of your ceremony, so I would not find them to be redundant.

We’re doing more than one unity ceremony.
