I recently bought a gorgeous Lazaro sample dress but I really would prefer if it were a lighter shade of ivory. The dress is made from lace and organza. Does anyone know if it is possible to dye a dress a lighter color. Is it expensive?
PS Here’s the dress !!

Very pretty dress! I’ve never heard of being able to lighten fabric. Because it’s made of multiple types of fabric, there would be even more challenges (as each type of fabric will hold the color differently – and would likely lighten different – if that’s even possible). The dress is so pretty – I would leave it as is.

If you are trying to make the dress lighter than it already is, that would involve bleaching and then dyeing and I dont think you want to put your beautiful dress through that. Just the idea of getting it wet enough to dye its bad enough. I agree with EvaBostonterrier to just leave the dress the way it is

I wouldn’t do it; the dress and color look great on you, and it photographs very light already!
