I am 1 day shy of 12 weeks and I could have sworn I felt a little tickle earlier today. Is it possible to feel movement this early? I didn’t feel anything until 18 weeks to the day with my first pregnancy. Definitely reassuring if that is what it is since I have another 2 weeks until next ob appt.

ajillity81 : I dunno about the timing but I have heard/read that you feel the second/third/subsequent babies a lot earlier, mostly because – you know what Baby feels like. So with your first you’re like ‘wow I’m gassy today, sucks to be preggo!’ until one day you’re like ‘ZOMG a giant moth just moved around in mah belly! That’s the flutters! Wooow! Or wait, is it? And it isn’t until they KICK you that youpretty like ooooooh. Or in my case when I went to my 20 wk ultrasound and actually seeing him move on the monitor made me go “OH. That feeling corresponds to when he’s turning over/rolling/kicking/swimming. Yeah, I’ve been feeling that for a while now!”
Kinda like when I got to the hospital at 37 w 4 d and my water had broken and the doctors were like ‘were you having any contractions?’ And I said ‘uhhh no.’ Hours later they kept asking me and a nurse said ‘well at this stage it could feel like waves of heat for example?’ And I was like ‘oooooooooh. Well then yeah…uh, for a few days now?’ 🤗

It’ s possible! Especially with 2nd or 3rd babies you feel it sooner.
Usually about 16 weeks.
Not a mom, but I’m a RN working in a birthing unit/special care nursery- so it’s my area 🙂

MrsHarryDresden : i hear you. with my first, i had gone in for NST at 36 weeks. i was hooked up to the monitors and the nurse asked me how long i had been having contractions. i told her i wasn’t. she said i was having one right now. oh, those, i’ve been having those for weeks. and it’s funny because the day before i had asked someone what BH felt like and these didn’t feel like what was described to me.
plum_pudding : jcent : thanks!
