(Closed) Is it possible to just have a wedding highlight reel?

Tbsmith2:  i think they would need to film the entire wedding and then afterwards when making the video they take bots and pieces. I had a documentary style video. The video didnt go in sequential order, it went bak and forth throughout the wedding but it flowed nicely. 

I think you should research different styles of wedding videos as well as videographers work. Then when you find someone you like, interview them ans let them know what you are looking for and see what can be done. 

I don’t think a videographer is going to decrease their price bc you are asking them to film less of the ceremony, you ae also paying them for their time they are spending with you.

I tried to talk our videographer (also from NC) into getting two differnt length highlight videos instead of the highlight and the full 1.5 hour video. Ours was documentary style and they weren’t willing to negotiate because as Daizy mentioned they are there for the full day so they can’t necessarily give you a better deal for less product. After receiving my final video I’m happy I have that in addition to the small highligt. https://vimeo.com/110931938
