My Eden Bridal BL2367 dress is beautiful. I love the ruffles and all the glitter and thus fabulous low back. The buttons are nice too. However, I always wanted a lace up back wedding gown since I was a little girl. When I tried one on, I loved the way it just melts to the body and tucks it all in. Can a low back dress be lace up? I can’t seem to find many pictures of them.
I have a really hard time wearing strapless dresses and undergarments, and finding one with a low back just makes it harder. I’m thinking if I put a lace back in the dress and add bra cups my problems are solved!?😄 Or it could end up like a train wreck…😢 Front pic for fun…

khauer2: I tihnk it would probably work functionally, but visually will be too much going on since your dress has a lot of details already. Although I totally get it – for me it wasn’t a real wedding dress until they added the silk buttons up the back! We all have that one detail that’s non-negotiable hahaha

LilliV: I am seeing this more as a functional change and a detail I dreamed of. The buttons are sparkly so I feel a plain lack back wouldn’t make too much of a difference as far as detail. There’s plenty of beading back there lol

khauer2: I think it would be possible, but I see LilliV‘s point of view. The buttons blend with the current sparkles. Adding a lace-up back would add another element that is very different than everything the dress has happening now. It would definitey add more details and would change the look – laceups don’t blend or look plain. Just food for thought!
As for wanting the dress to be supportive – you can also accomplish that through having it brought in with cups added.

khauer2: You can probably add a lace back. However, I would advise against it. It probably won’t look as nice. Also, I don’t think it’ll be as functional as you think. It’s going to be a pain if you have to use the bathroom.
