I bought a clear blue OPK and since i am irregular with long cycles I started testing just a few days after my period ended. the first couple of days I got a blank circle indicating no fertility. Cycle day 8 I got a flashing happy face indicating start of fertile phase and yesterday I got the solid smiley phase at cycle day 13 indicating peak fertility. I test in the morning using FMU if that makes a difference.
So my question is, does this seem possible that I’m fertile? I don’t have EWCM though last cycle I didn’t at all. My cervix is low and soft however. mt average cycle is 34 days. Last cycle was 37 days and the cycle before was 34 and before 32. i feel very out of touch with my body.
help?
Thanks ladies.

BeeinBoston: I definitely ovulated on day 12 or 13 of the cycle I got pregnant, because it’s literally the only way I could have gotten pregnant (only BD’d on CD12, 13, and 19 due to illness). I’m not familiar with OPKs since I’ve never used one, but in my experience you can definitely ovulate that early. FWIW, my cycles have always varied between 29-34 days.

anonybee0810: this makes me feel a lot better, thank you. It’s so frustrating to have irregular cycles, everything to me seems to be a guessing game.

BeeinBoston: I ovulate regularly on day 11/12. The “average” cycle is 28 days with a CD 14 ovulation…So a 32 day cycle isn’t really considered too long, just slightly longer than average. I’m not familiar with the opk you are using, but the general rule of thumb for positive opk tests is that you will ovulate 12-48 hours after you get a positive. Of you are in fact ovulating, your cervical should be soft, high, open and wet. Hope that helps!

I ovulated on day 10 of my last cycle, and that is how I ended up pregnant. 🙂
