I’m am thrilled to be ordering Allure 8856! The only thing is I would prefer a shorter sweep train where the lace overlay will only be slightly longer than the silk slip. As it is, the lace is way longer (see photo). I tried on a similar lace dress that had a very short train and I just loved how it moved!
I’m getting a free hollow-to-hem customization when I order the dress from the salon. Has anyone ever requested a shorter train from the manufacturer?

Anything is possible for a price.

@Mrs. Louboutin: +1
Yep, most likely. I think I’ve read Allurewill do customizations for prices before.

Allure custom changes are $200ea, maximum of two changes. H2h is free, but counts toward the two allowed.

That dress is gorgeous, but I agree that the shorter train (or longer lining) would be better.

@MayaBean: Thank you – that is great information! I’ll have to ask the seamstress what she would charge by comparison. I do wonder if the end result would be better if done by the manufacturer or the seamtress… probably depends on the seamstress!

if it is custom made, you should be able to do that. unless the designer says “I design the dress to look that way, you can’t change anything, if you don’t like the dress, dont buy it”. anyway, yous hould ask the store first before paying.
