I’ve had a mirada of rudeness toward my ring since I first got engaged (some of the bees on here know about it) but i have never been asked if my stone is real. If someone seriously asked me that i’d say.. “is it real? Hmm, are you?.. yes, yes, you are ‘real’ly rude indeed.”
Someone did ask me if it was moissy once. That was weird. When I said “no” they said, “wow, you’re lucky!”… yea.. that was weird.

@SunshineGrin: Yes, but some people really are just clueless about what’s appropriate and what isn’t. Honestly, if I saw a CZ around a carat, without grabbing the person’s hand, I would not be able to say for sure it was a CZ. Moissy I can tell but only because of the sparktasticness. Its highly possible that the OP’s ring is just large for her geographic region and so people react hastily in assuming it’s a CZ because they themselves could not afford a ring like that.
