A job is a job. Others might have a different opinion.

I can’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be more than happy to. For your ring especially, even if plain, it’s nice since since he knows the design to make sure they fit well.

Yes, he’s very reasonably priced with that. I was able to add a simple white gold band (it does fit to the shape of my e ring though) for 225$. His gold is just a higher quality that other Jewelers, it won’t turn yellow if left unplated with white gold and he’s not putting reactive alloys in it. I’ll go to him for everything, even something simple.

For a lot of designers, it’s nice to have a change of pace and make a bit of money for something that’s simple to do.  I don’t think it’s insulting, particularly because you will want your band to match your engagement ring.

Absolutely do it! He’s so nice and easy to work with and you know that way it’ll match perfectly. The width and the thickness and even the profile of the band can all be different if you go with something stock. I’d totally get him to.

I love DK for custom work, but for plain bands you’ll probably be over paying. If you are fine with the price then go for it.

That’s what we did and his turn around time was quicker than usual, and they came out perfectly. He created my engagement ring and both our wedding bands (mine was plain yellow gold).
