Congratulations! This is such an exciting time for you and your fiancé!

I take my ring off to apply hand lotion or body lotion; I only do that for about 1 minute right before I go to sleep. I wear it in bed and to shower and exercise. That said, my ring is a 0.5 solitaire and so ladies with a bigger stone might be more comfortable without a ring to sleep etc.

Isilme:  not strange at all, and why shouldn’t you wear it all the time? I only take mine off when I’m using messy or sticky substances, it stays on in the shower and when I sleep. If you love and want to wear it all the time then go for it 🙂

Isilme:  I don’t think this is weird at all! I actually find it more strange when people don’t wear their rings most of the time.  I do occasionally take mine off (when I’m putting on lotion or makeup or something and don’t want to goop up the stones) and forget to put it back on – but then I feel totally naked if I leave the house without it.  For the most part, my engagement and wedding rings are always on my finger.

i wear mine all the time. I don’t even take it off to shower. The only time I do take it off is if I’m putting lotion on or occasionally working with meat when I cook. But I put it right back on afterwards. we were engaged for Devon months before we got married and have now been married for a year.

Isilme:  Congrats on your engagement, but I do not think it is weird you want to leave it on all the time. Personally, I only take it off when I shower, hit up the gym, deal with raw meat, or sometimes at work (since I am a nurse). I have had my ring since February, and now I feel naked without it.

Isilme:  Not weird at all! I feel the same, it’s the most special/sentimental item I have (and my wedding band will fall in to that category too once we’re married!) I always wear mine unless like you said, i’m doing something that could damage it!

I don’t sleep with it on as it’s quite a high setting and I am a very restless sleeper so I worry about damaging it – but I put it on the second I get out of bed and leave it on until I go to sleep!

(PS I also keep a ring box in the lounge room for it in case I have to take it off for something – it makes me nervous when its not on my finger so I need to know it’s somewhere safe!)

I take my rings off when I get home so I can cook and do whatever without dirtying or denting up my ring. Pretty sure I’d have to whack it pretty hard to ding it, but I just like to baby my ring and keep it beautifully shiny.

Isilme:  What’s the point of keeping such a pretty piece of jewelry tucked away?! I say wear that thing every second of every day (unless you are doing an activity that you’re worried could damage or lose your ring).
