I think it’s fine. They’ll appreciate it.

I think if your intent is for it to cover a massage, you need to cover the cost of the massage at the most expensive place.  Having to pay $40 for a massage isn’t the end of the world, but it may also not be something your BMs do regularly that they would want that expense. I think the thought is nice, but essentially paying for half-a-gift is a little strange to me.

I’d appreciate it, but honestly you already have a lot of gifts for them, so if you don’t think it’s a good idea, don’t do it!

@bzybee15:  Ahh okay.  If it’s just a generic gift certificate to a spa then, I’d say a flat dollar amount is fine.  They can decide if they want to pay the extra for a massage, or cover a mani/pedi!

I think it’s fine. They’ll either find a service that costs $50 or less, or they’ll opt to pay out of pocket for a more expensive service, that’s their choice.

Also, you should look into buying the GCs at Costco if you know someone who has a membership. I think they sell them in packs of 2 for $80 (So you get 2-$50 GCs, saving you $20).

I think giving like $50 each is good enough.  I’d appreciate any amount, and if I have to cover a little extra, that would be fine.

So your question is whether to it’s okay to give the same amount to each girl even though some live in more expensive places?  If that’s the question, my answer is yes 🙂  And I think this is a great idea!

I think it’s a fine idea!  An alternative idea if you’re worried about it not covering a whole massage would be to get a gift card to Sephora…every girl can figure out a good use for $50 at Sephora!
