My Fiance and I are getting engagement pics taken at the drive-in near my house to match the vintage-y feel of my wedding. I’m planning to grab some vavavoom red heels to wear with my black dress and coat I’m planning to wear for the shoot, but I also want red shoes for the wedding. Would it be odd to wear the same shoes people may see in pictures for the day of my wedding? I’m starting to think maybe a PG-rated pair for the wedding and perhaps an R-rated pair for the engagements would make the most sense.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I’ve attached a potential shoe I’m thinking for the engagements.

Red shoes with a wedding dress is very common now. I think it would be really cool. Just make sre the shoes dont get really dirty or scuffed up during your engagement picture session.

I wore the same shoes for my engagement photos as my wedding, and boy am I glad I did! I was able to break them in so when we were romping around the city for the wedding photos, I had no problems walking in them (crucial, since there were soooo many walking shots of us). Just be careful that you don’t wear them out too much, and that you don’t scuff them.

I don’t think it’s tacky. Especially when they’re such GORGEOUS shoes!

I was planning on doubling up on shoe usage, but mine were really uncomfortable, even though they were flats. Just think of the e-shoot as a shoe test run! 🙂

HECK NO! WEAR ‘EM!!! THEY ARE FABULOUS!!!

Ohhh! I love the idea of buying this first pair as a trial run for wedding shoes! What a great idea!

You should totally wear the same pair as long as that’s what you want. no one is going to notice (or care) that you wore it before.

Why would that be tacky?
Plus, nobody will notice.

I’m doing it too. But I wore mine with long jeans, so when I got my pics back, you can’t even see my shoes. I also bought some sparkly vintage looking shoe clips from Etsy that I put on there and voila instant new shoes! I love it because these shoes I have actually been wearing and they are broken in.

I say go for it. Those shoes DESERVE to be worn to both your engagement pictures and your wedding!!

Not tacky and nobody will notice… I don’t have the will-power to keep myself from buying a pair of shoes for every single wedding event possibly…. so kuddos to you for saving some cash!

No tacky. In any way. Do it!
