I think some dogs are just messy eaters. :/ You can try a bigger/deeper bowl, or just put something down around her bowl (like a plastic doggie placemat) that will make it easier to clean up.

Our dog is a messy water drinker, so we have to keep towels down near her water bowl.

I have a raised bowl that virgil uses. The odd kibble or two comes out, but mostly it stays in there. I feed exclusively dry, though. His bowl is similar to this one.

It is probably because she wants to eat all the yummy wet food first, so she pushes the dry out of the way to get it. You might want to consider getting a little dog food/water bowl shelf to lift her bowl up off the floor. It will help her to not have to try to dig so deeply, so she doesn’t make as big of a mess. I used to have a shi-tzu that would pick out all the dry food and put it on the floor to get to her wet food. She just had to have the wet food first. Also, raising the bowls up to their level helps them eat better and not put so much strain on their necks and backs.

Big dog? We have an elevated bowl. You can also buy some that are shaped like an angelfood cake pan- the bump in the middle makes them have to eat more slowly and deliberately. Less wolfing down = less mess in my house.
