I think with Maggies, you’ll be able to track one down in 9 months – a year. In that case, I’d wait a little bit, try on more, see what comes out. If it’s a dress that’s older or rare, though, and you fall in love, you might want to buy it sooner just because you don’t want to end up not being able to track down another.

One collection comes out in late Dec/early Jan.  So I would assume the other comes out sometime in early summer.

I would agree that waiting is your best option.  You can Maggie dresses whenever (as long as theyre not like, 3 years old or something!)

I’d recommend waiting and seeing what comes out for the Summer/Fall, too.

I would actually disagree with the others and suggest that you at least keep an eye on this dress and maybe not wait all the way until the next season comes out. I bought my Maggie dress well over a year before my wedding, and I still love it. The new season came out and there were dresses I liked, but there was nothing like mine. When the new ones came, my dress was discontinued – they took it off the website, took off the “maggie bride” page where a girl was wearing it, and everything. It’s nowhere to be found. I think it’s pretty rare that they discontinue a dress so quickly – usually you can access old seasons for a while, but it is possible. So, if you really love your dress, go ahead and buy it now and don’t look back.

I’d wait.  I loooveeeddddd my dress when I tried it on (bought it in April 09 for a Sept 10 wedding) and then have MAJOR dress envy later.  Thankfully I love my dress again.

You still have SO much time, you can hold off ordering until Jan/Feb 11 and still be ok.

I would recommend waiting…sort of. Keep an eye out for sales on this dress (trunk or a Running event). If you are okay with a used dress, I would also look to see if you can get a deal through preownedweddingdresses.com. Even if you aren’t interested in a used dress, sometimes people cancel their weddings or find another dress. I would use the time you have to get a deal. But if you don’t see anything in the next 8 months, buy it.
