maybe silk robes? Not as hot, but still covering everything.

i would rather wear a light cotton robe (just make sure it isn’t see thru). silk robes are good too, but they slide around a lot and can be difficult to keep closed.

I think even if the girls would be comfortable in them…. it’s a weird request for you to tell them to wear a spa wrap.  Especially when there is going to be a photographer around.  I honestly would just let them wear something of their own that they are comfortable in.  If you really want them to match I agree with the PP’s suggestion of silk robes (assuming you are purchasing them for the girls).

I got all of my girls the spa wrap towels.  I don’t think anything is wrong with it and I have seen a ton of pics from other girls that have done them and I thought it was cute.  I am not forcing them to wear them though if they don’t want to.

I’ve seen pics of the spa wrap and it was adorable!  I’m sure they’ll wear gym shorts or something under it!

What about a waffle weave robe?  They tend to be a little lighter than a regular robe and more breathable than a silk one.  That’s what I got my girls and we all wore them while getting ready.  I worked with a great Etsy seller to get mine.

@kingytobe: Are you going to be inside or outside when you get ready? Because as long as your inside, you shouldn’t be sweating THAT much.

I don’t know that I’d want my picture taken in a spa wrap.  Could you maybe do a tank top or something?

Definitely would do the jersey over the terrycloth!

Waffle weave spa robes are nice and soft, not heavy.
