I actually prefer to wear just my e-ring because it looks dainty and simple. I have a wedding band, but I wear it on my right hand.

So, in conclusion, I don’t think it’s weird!

I don’t think it’s weird at all. I know a lot of people that wear their wedding and e-ring seperate. My mom had a traditional set and knew that they would upgrade on their “golden” anniversary (idk if that’s what it’s called. Where the number and the years match) and the ring she fell in love with looks ridiculous with a band. She has had it for 3 years now and only once has she been asked if she’s engaged or married. If you don’t want a wedding band, go for it!

@Lalk2bee:  nope! I used to work with a girl who had such a unique engagement ring, that it would have been pretyt much impossible to have a wedding band that looked good with it. So she got it engraved with her wedding date once the tied the knot!

As an aside, I have a halo oval, but I made sure the setting was high enough that I could put a band with it. Something to look into.

My mom just wears her wedding band now -plain gold one. It’s very classy and elegant. She just decided to stop earing her e-ring, so you might end up wanting to do something like that.

@Lalk2bee:  oooo… the nurse thing definitely complicates a ring choice! Why not just get a simple band to wear when you have to be contstantly washing your hands or dealing with gloves? Wear your e-ring around your neck on a chain. You could wear the band on your right hand when you have your e-ring on. I personally like the feeling of having a ring on my finger, no matter the kind.

Not weird – I have 2 friends who just wear their e-rings.  Every once in a while they do get asked “When’s the wedding?” or something like that, so people may assume that you’re not married yet.  But honestly, most people don’t notice each other’s rings.  It’s just we newly engaged crazies, I think! 🙂

I think it’s pretty common nowadays to not have a wedding band!  🙂

I don’t think it’s weird, but if I saw someone wearing only an engagement ring, I’d assume they weren’t married yet.

I’m sure a wedding band would look fine with most halos. I have a halo that is high enough to slide a band under, but is still comfortable under gloves and doesn’t get in the way when taking them on or off (I work in a laboratory, same problem). However if you’d rather go without a band, that also works!

I love having just one ring. When we got married I had first a solitaire engagement ring and second a plain band, but for a later anniversary we had the diamond from my engagement ring put into a more elaborate setting and now I just wear that on its own.

you could wear your wedding band on your left hand and e-ring on your right?!
