BetchyBride:  My Fiance has an engagement ring he wears on his left finger. He just wants to show off that he has me. It’s the same concept as me wearing an engagement ring ๐Ÿ™‚

My husband did this. He got himself a cheap ring that he liked to wear while we were engaged, and then we replaced it with the wedding ring when we got married. I think it’s a lovely idea.

Mine does this. He’s gotten quite a few – tungsten, titanium, and stainless steel. He wanted an engagement ring too ๐Ÿ™‚

So long as you and your Fiance are cool with potentially having to explain to confused people that you’re not actually married yet, do whatever you want.

Fiance said that he wants to start wearing his wedding band soon because we aren’t planning on legally getting married for several years. And if he wants to do that, it’s fine with me. Most of my coworkers assume I’m married already anyway since Fiance and I have been together longer than most of them have been with their husbands/wives.

But I wouldn’t get him an expensive second ring to wear as a mangagement ring. It’d be a waste since my Fiance wouldn’t wear it again once the wedding band went on his finger.

BetchyBride:  fi wanted to wear his the day we bought ours to see what it was like.  It was really sweet that he couldn’t wait but I knew his mom would freak out and think we got married without her lol.  He works with his hands so I want to get him a cheap stand in since I would die if he lost the real one before the big day.

I know plenty of guys who wore engagment rings, if it came up they just told people it was their engagment ring. Seems simple enough to me. ๐Ÿ™‚

BetchyBride:  I bought a cheap stainless steal ring just to see what size his finger was and he didn’t want to take it off lol. So he wore it until it was my turn to put a ring on him during our ceremony. I think it’s great when a guy is ready to show he’s commited before the actual wedding. His best friend did the same thing as soon as he got engaged because he saw my husband do it

My husbands ring was so inexpensive that I told him to get another one if he wanted and he did.  We called it his engagement ring, lol.  They are both Harley davidson sterling silver rings.  And. He lost some weight so we had to go get him one that fits his left had, now he has 3.   Who cares about what other people think.  Have fun, if he wants two rings and you can afford it enjoy!

BetchyBride:  i have a friend who did this. He actually had multiple rings that he wore up until his actual wedding date. My Fiance on the other hand tells me he already see’s me as his wife that he doesn’t need a wedding so i am sure he would try to wear his ring with pride. It’s adorable and Cute i think that they want to wear it early. It’s all with good intentions.

BetchyBride:  I haven’t seen a man wear on a ering.  But it’s more common on these boards.  If he wants to, then by all means let him wear it.  I don’t see anything wrong with it.

Hubby wanted to wear a ring while we were engaged so he wore a thick platinum band with milgraining until we picked out our wedding bands at Tiffany & Co later down the road. I don’t think it’s strange at all, given we were practically married (living together, home owners, dogs, etc) and our friends and family already view us as a married family unit anyways. No one even batted an eye at it, and he was pretty pleased about it. I also thought it was sweet that he already wanted to show the world that he was a taken man.

Also kept those nonexistent and imaginary sluts from hitting on him, because fending them off would be exhausting if I ever had to do that.
