My Fiance is wearing a ring. I got it for him not long after we got engaged. He wanted to wear something too to show that he is engaged. It was pretty inexpensive (65$) but exactly what he wanted. It is tungsten with a koa wood inlay. Everyone has been pretty cool about him wearing it. Had a few men express that when they get engaged, they would wear one during their engagement.

He likes to tell people he wears it to ‘keep the ladies off’. Lol

I think that’s really cute. It’s not weird. What’s weird is that it’s 2015 and we still have one-sided traditions that allude to times when women were property.

BetchyBride:  not weird at all!!my Fiance asked if he should wear a “promise ring” on his left had so people know he’s spoken for. I thought it was a cute suggestion that he wants people to know he’s engaged, but i think were just going to wait for the wedding ring. I can’t wait to put a ring on him 😉

We aren’t engaged yet, but I know my boyfriend would want to wear his wedding ring before the wedding.  Part of the reason I’m getting a rose gold engagement ring is because he wants our sets to match and he really wants rose gold.  He’s probably almost as excited about his ring as I am about mine.  I’d love to get him an engagement ring too, but I just can’t afford another ring that won’t be worn very long.  I plan to surprise him by buying his wedding ring earlier than we agree on (after we both pick ours out) and having him wear it until the wedding.  I think it’s cute.

My fiance wears a titanium band right now as an engagement ring as he couldn’t wait to show off that we had made a commitment to one another. When he suggested it I was very touched and of course they should wear one if they like it’s an old fashioned biased tradition that only the woman can be promised to someone. I find it romantic and when we get married he will get a new shinier ring as an upgrade. It’s only fair and it makes me feel good too. 🙂

BetchyBride:  Darling Husband and I ordered a ring off amazon that was silver with diamonds and it was pretty inexpensive. He loved weating it and now he wears it on his right hand. I think it’s sweet 🙂

My Fiance wears his wedding band around every chance he gets. He says he’s just so excited to be married and the ring is a part of that. I think it’s sweet.

BetchyBride:  Not weird at all! In some western european countries, both partners wear a plain band to show that they are engaged.
