requested me to be her friend on facebook?
We just met her yesterday when we went to an open house. I must say, we got along great…she is super nice, outgoing, and wants to help us look for our future home.
But adding me on facebook…seems a little strange? Haha

@cherrycoke: Not really anymore. One of my high school teachers is a realtor now and the man markets himself like crazy on his facebook. It’s kind of like being a photographer on facebook. He adds his newest listings, articles on home buying and selling and other tips and tricks to his page fairly often.

@MsBrooklynA: Ahh, makes sense!

I haven’t had this happen and I’ve met a ton of RE brokers during my apartment search, but I don’t think it’s strange. They get your email address anyway, so they’ll be emailing you constantly with updates and open house info. So FB doesn’t seem to different to me if they’re using it professionally. All of my wedding professionals friended me on FB!

I think it’s a bit strange. If she asked to be part of her network on LinkedIn, then that’s a little different. But I guess it depends on what you consider your “friends” on Facebook.

No, I don’t think it’s weird. I have a facebook page where I only update on real estate so that I don’t bombard everyone who is friends with my profile if they’re not interested!
