I don’t need them for lighting so I likely wouldn’t add lights, but just want to use them as decor. I feel that our venue looks to restaurant-y and not special enough otherwise.
But I only find pics of paper lanterns outdoors, on tree branches or hanging from tents. So would it be weird to have them in a restaurant?
If you have done this and/ or have pics of this please post. 🙂

Here are a few google images I found…I think it depends on how many and whether you hang them scattered, close together, in a pattern, etc:

@pink.sequins: Yay! You are so awesome. Thank you for posting those photos. I think the paper lanterns look great in those oics. The top one is amazing. 🙂 You just made my day. Thank you thank you so much!

I think it would look fine, especially with one long table like the ones in your first two pictures. It would also look good if you have a semi-private room away from all the other tables.

I don’t think it’d be strange at all – I’ve had plenty of brides use them in indoor reception rooms and it didn’t look ‘off’ at all 🙂
I’m planning on using them for my indoor reception as well.

@ms.walter: I’m glad you think so because we actually have long tables in our venue. perfecto!
@thewheelsonthebus: Yay that’s great to hear that you’ve had personal experience with them and liked the look enough to add them to your own. 🙂
@pink.sequins: haha you totally did help. I hope you are feeling better today. Now I’m the sicky at home. haha
