Honestly, I think smaller bridal parties are more dignified, but that’s just me. With larger bridal parties, it’s too hard to find a dress that suites such a wide range of people and it starts to look like little girls playing dressing up in matching costumes. Honestly, also, smaller bridal parties are much less of a headache (fewer people to coordinate with) and, of course, much less of an expense.

Not weird at all! I only wanted a Maid/Matron of Honor, but my SO is insisting on two people up there for him… so I recruited a bridesmaid too.
If you’re having a small wedding, I think it looks especially strange if you have too big of a bridal party. However, it will be hardly noticeable with a large wedding to only have a few people up there with you two!

- Wedding: December 2014 - The Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas
I’m only having my sister stand with me as I guess maid of honor. So it’s not weird, it’s all up to what you want.

jamb: That’s exactly what I think. I really don’t like the look of 5+ bridesmaids. I think having 1 or two looks nice, and seems less fussy overall.

Nope, I only have two. Trust me, it will be much easier! 🙂

jolieqe: Not weird at all. Why would it be? Anyone who would judge you based on this shouldn’t be invited to your wedding.

We had 2 each! I don’t have any siblings, so I just had my 2 of my closest friends (originally had a third girl, but she lived overseas and would have been 8 months pregnant at our wedding). My husband and I are both the type to have lots of good friends, but only a handful of super close friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding party!
