My sister and I were ring bearers in our older sister’s wedding when we were little kids. It was awesome! I don’t think it’s weird at all!

@futuremrscap:  They were white satin heart shaped ring pillows trimmed with white lace, with elastic staps on the underside so we wouldn’t drop them. The rings were tied on with ribbon. One of us had the brides ring and one had the grooms. I can’t BELIEVE I remember that. I was maybe six when my sister got married!! Big age gap.

Love the idea!!  –and what a great way to break gender stereotypes!  I think it will be a lovely addition to your wedding!

@futuremrscap:  That’s what I meant. If the flower girls are in pink with a green belt then have her wear green with a pink belt. It’s a perfect halfway between your BMs and your FGs…which will fit her age too.

@futuremrscap: Oh let me expalin a little further my story…

I didn’t change the little girl from being a ring bearer because of my aunt, I was one of those brides that didn’t get swayed by peoples strong opinion.

Originally I was supposed to have only the 3 of the 4 girls and possibly 2 boys. I was thinking the 2 young girls flower girls, 2 boys be banner bearers (and the 2 boys were both very hyper),  I was to have the older girl ring bearer. Then we added the 9y old girl so I was thinking maybe the onbe girl can carry his ring and the other girl would carry my ring.

My aunt hated this….it irkked her. I had the first little boy drop out…but I still didn’t want the other to carry the rings (way to hyper) but my aunt insisted (again *eye rollllllllll).

At the end the second little boy couldn’t make it, so  I ended up having 4 little girls in the wedding. So I really wanted a banner with our monogram…so I dubbed 2 of the older girls banner bearers instead of ring beaers…since the ring could be held by the best man

@futuremrscap:  OH dang….I was going to say that your Bridesmaid or Best Man must be supermodels because that dress (looks like silk charmeuse to me…or something equally as clingy)….I was like that’s a hard dress to pull off…..

So I say have the ring bearers wear the opposite of the flower girls…in tea legnth dresses…..tulle or no tulle…it’s up to you
