The Fairy Tale White Barrette Wedding Fascinator

Anything used for a wedding is automatically marked up, depending on where you buy it. I got a beautiful hair comb for my daughter’s weddding from a seller on Ebay for one daughter to wear, and the other’s I got from a seller on Etsy. Neither were consdered or marketed as ‘bridal’ and were pretty cheap. I also bought a sparkly bracelet on the classifieds on this site for under $30. (Both are on the one pictured above). The Etsy fascinator was trimmed down as it was too big and made the veil lay wonky. (don’t know why the pictures uploaded funny)

I think it depends on how large you want it to be. My fascinator was fairly large, so I don’t think it could have been found in a non-bridal setting (at least I hope no one would wear it on a normal day!). I would just look around and find something you like, regardless if it’s ‘bridal’ or not.

Ebay!! $5.  It was a good sized 3.5×1.5 inch sparkly hair comb.  There are a ton on there.

I think it depends on the quality you want and the size you want. I’m paying quite a lot, but it’s for a high-quality one-off vintage piece. Gorgeous!

I would shop around at other places.  I just found a pretty hair flower at Franchescas for $6.00  At Davids bridal they have the same “look alike” for like $70 bucks.  No thanks!

Like everyone said, it’s all about the style and quality.  You can probably find some really nice smaller things for cheap, but usually bigger stuff is only worn by brides, and those pieces definitely have the wedding tax on them.

I spent $25 on some pearl hair pins on Etsy.  I could have made them myself for about half the cost, but I decided there were other things I needed to spend my time on.

I was like that looking at all these expensive hair accesories. I ended up getting two flower clips from Claires coming in at a total of 8 bucks!
