The corset ‘V’ of my dress is narrower than I want it, which I think is due to the top being too big. I had to order up a size because my hips are two sizes bigger than my top (I’m pear shaped). The top fits now with the corset pulled tight, but I am thinking of altering the top so the v is wider. However, I don’t know how much it would cost, would it be worth it alter it or should I leave it as is?

I actually think it looks much better narrow like it is!

I like how it looks narrow too! It really accentuates how thin you are!

I personally like the bigger v and spent the money to do it. I think it looks a little weird that way

@PeachRN: You should add a poll.

I like it the way it is! Don’t waste money on this kind of alteration.

I think you have to go with your gut on this one…I think it looks good, but if you want to change it…I think you should. I’m actually going to have my corset taken in bc i lost weight since I ordered the dress…and it doesn’t look like a corset anymore (the sides have to be completely closed for it to fit…which kinda defeats the purpose haha)

leave it alone, it looks great IMO

@PeachRN: I personally don’t like corset backs at all, but the narrowness of yours is so much better than the wide ones. When I see a really wide corset, it makes me think it was too small or something. This looks neat, fitted, and doesnt detract from the detail of the fabric.

@PeachRN: i would only alter it if you think you might lose any weight between now and the wedding. it’s already closed as much as it can go so if you lose weight, it will be too big (you won’t be able to tie it closed any further).
