The more and more I look at rings the more I see how different even solitare settings can be!! There are ways to have differemces beyond the stone shape and still have a classic solitare setting! Go for it and get the ring you want. You don’t wanna regret not getting the ring you love just because you want to be different than your friend.

I say go with what you love Bee! Solitaires are such a classic style and also fairly common, plus you’d be getting a princess-cut rather than a round so it’s not going to be exactly the same 🙂

It’s a solitaire. That’s like feeling bad for copying a friend’s idea to wear a little black dress to a cocktail party. You’re fine.

Totally fine! Your friend’s ring looks like someone else’s for sure, and since this is probably the most important piece of jewelry in every girl’s life…just choose the one you like!

Don’t stress! Two of my friends asked if they could get my ring because they liked it so much, and I was honestly flattered. Now I have ring twins and theyre like gang charms lol! Besides, it’s a common pairing. Whatever your boyfriend chooses will be beautiful and unique to you as a couple regardless of style. Stressing about it will detract from your time now. Your friend said she doesn’t mind, so enjoy the shopping while you can! It’s part of the fun!

If she said she doesn’t care and is, in fact, flattered, you’re overthinking it. Go for it, and enjoy! 🙂

Do you know popular solitaires are??? (she asked, typing with a solitaire engagement ring on her hand). Even if you were to get the exact same ring as her she couldn’t really be that chuffed because almost everyone and their mother has a solitaire or knows someone with a solitaire. They are a classic and popular option.
In my opinion, you are getting a completely different ring than her. No one will even think they are similar.
