It’s really a matter of personal preference, but I think it looks fine 🙂

I think it looks fine.  Mine looks about the same width.

I was told they should be 4 inches apart at the top. That seems like kind of a lot though, I guess it’s really a preference as PPs have said.

I think it looks good like that.

First, is it laced really tight?  Like, did it take a lot (I mean A LOT) of effort to pull the sides that close?  -Think foot on your back for leverage tight-  If it isn’t super tight, then you will be fighting the creeping dress the whole time you are wearing it.  Width between sides may be somewhat personal preference.  My dress is a corset back, but even laced TIGHT (see above) there are still probably 3-4 inches between sides at the top.

It looks beautiful the way it is. I think the more important question is, how does it feel / how does it fit?

I think it looks great, but what if you lose a couple pounds??? it’ll be totally closed….maybe have them open it just a tad…?

It’s deff a matter of preference.  For me it’s too narrow.  I think the corset is a beautiful detail of a dress and should deff stand out … in a good way of course.

I also have a corset gown and while the corset is currently too wide by the time alterations come around I will have lost weight so the corset should be to my liking (not too narrow but not too wide).

I definitely prefer them narrow. When they’re wider, I think it looks funny. It’s definitely personal preference, though. I think it looks fine!

it all depends like the rest said, i wear them all the time at my part time job, and most are 2+ inches apart.. but i think for wedding its more formal and you look fine.

if you feel like its too tight then talk to the seamstress.

I think it looks great, as long as it’s comfy!

Not at all. That would never even cross my mind. I doubt any wedding guests will scrutinize it either.

I think it looks fine as long as it fits everywhere else.

I like it like that!  I’ve seen some that are the “recommended” width and they look too wide for me.  As long as both sides are not touching, you’re good to go.
