It doesn’t fit my definitions of “Cute” or “Tacky”, so neither?

ETA: Others used the words I was trying to recall: It’s not flattering to your figure. But it’s not tacky, or cute. I think you could find something that compliments your body a bit more.

Hyperventilate:  I agree. OP, it isn’t that I hate the dress. It just doesn’t seem to do a lot for your figure.

cc63016:  it’s not cute IMO. But it’s not tacky either. It’s definitely not my style though. But that part doesn’t matter. What does matter though is that I don’t think it does much for your shape (you have a great one!).

Not tacky, but not a good shape on you.

I agree with PP’s, to me it’s neither. I don’t think it flatters you and hits at a really awkward place on your legs. It looks like that line should either be higher near your hips of lower near your knees.

cc63016:  it’s a beautiful dress but it cuts you off. I think it may have been desgined for someone taller.

I personally am not a fan of drop waists (especially on fitted dresses). I like the fluffy skirt but I think it would be better with a plain top–sparkles and feathery chiffon is a lot for one dress. What matters most is how YOU feel in it, though!

It does make you look shorter, but that could be the mirror/camera also.

how do you feel it in?

I tried that dress on. It was actually one of my top contenders.

This picture of it on you, is not doing the dress (or you) justice. It is clearly too big on you, but after alterations would look really nice. The skirt normally sits up much higher and the top part is much more fitted. One of the reasons, I liked the dress so much was that it was really flattering (but the sample was in my size).

Well, I really like it. I’m assuming the first pic is unaltered, the second is altered? It looks way better in the second pic, maybe people are just looking at the first pic

I think neither as well! And I agree with the other bees that you can find something way more flattering on your figure.

Love the top but the skirt is OTT for me.. makes a wedding dress lose its elegance to an extent. Sorry!

It’s awfully busy and even when properly altered, it will be a case of the dress wearing you and not the other way around. I think you may do better with something more classic and streamlined.
