I love this dress!! Where are you getting married that you think it would be too fancy?  Everything I have been reading says that the dress should reflect who you are.  If this is "THE DRESS" then go for it!!  It will be beautiful I’m sure!!

Ok, so for some reason your whole posting didn’t show when I first left that comment – but I still say go for the dress – if it is what you really love – don’t get a less fancy dress and then wish you had got this one.  If you keep your hair and everything else casual, then I think it would be prefection!!

First of all, I think the dress is AMAZING.

I think you should totally get it – you’re obviously in love with it and you’ll regret not getting it. Is this the dress you want to see in your wedding photos? If yes, than get it!

My sister just had this dilema tonight as well – her 2nd wedding is EXTREMELY small & casual but I knew she wanted a beautiful dres but didn’t want to feel silly. Well, tonight we found a gorgeous dress at an amazing deal and she snagged it up instead of going with a blue bridemaid dress!

My point is, the dress needs to fit you, not the venue 🙂

I say, if you love it get it! Get your groom, BMs, and GMs to wear something nice as well, and no one will even begin to think you look too fancy!

Tell your mom it’s ok to be overdressed for your own wedding!  It looks like a very simple shape, which isn’t overpowering at all.  I was expecting to see pickups and bling under the poll.

I think the dress is gorgeous. You are the bride — you’re supposed to look a little fancy. 🙂 And, it’s not like this dress is sporting a massive skirt with huge petticoats. I say go for it!

beautiful dress…and you can match the venue best by flowers and decor.  That dress is lovely in ANY setting.

I think it’s perfect! I think the lace screams casual garden but also romantic and formal. Your dress can go both ways! LOL

Please don’t worry about it.  Be happy on your day.  I agree you’ll regret it if you settle on something else.  I certainly dont think it looks too fancy for a garden.  As for a barn, I have seen some amazing elegant weddings that combine rustic and formal.  AMAZING!  I wish I had thought of that.  So you will be fine.
