(Closed) Is my employer allowed to do this?

@jenniferleighh:  It’s annoying but I don’t think it’s against the rules.  I know lots of mothers who visit their daughters for a week+ when they’ve had a baby (and the daughters are in their early 30’s not teenagers…)

I’m not sure about the doubles, I know if I worked more than 8 consecutive hours I had to be paid more/get more breaks and if I went over 40 in a week overtime kicked in but that varies between provinces here.

@jenniferleighh:  I think it depends on your state, but from what I understand, most hourly jobs require employers to pay overtime (usually time and a half) if your work week goes over 40 hours.
