@AntoinetteE:  I think your band could slide down your finger further, if you Have the option to size it up.  Your diamond is very pretty!

Yes your ring definitely looks too small! But I don’t mean the diamond – the actual ring looks far too tight and high up your finger!  It looks uncomfortable so definitely think you need to get it resized

@allyfally:  Agreed. Take it from a Bee who got engaged 2 days ago and woke up with a bruised finger this morning, ow!!!!!! Yell

OP, 0.3 is a great size 🙂 since my beauty has to be remade, I’m asking if they can bump my centre stone to 0.3 (it’s 0.2ish). It’s a good size!

I know someone who doesn’t think her 1.75 center stone is huge…(face palm)

OP, what one person thinks is small is always going to be different from someone else’s. If you had a particular carat size in mind, perhaps you can get an enhancer.

If by small you mean the ring size, then yes it is a little small. The diamond? No. Put it together with a wedding band when the time comes and it’ll be a beautiful set!!

I feel like weddingbee is full of elaborate halos and glitzy bands right now, as is the fashion, but a simple solitaire is timeless and beautiful.

First, welcome to the site and congratulations on your engagement! Your diamond is not too small. It’s lovely! Ignore people that say it is too small, they are tacky and rude for doing so. The size of the diamond isn’t what matters, but what it represents is. Also, if you feel like jazzing it up, you could always get an eternity diamond band or an enhancer/guard as a wedding band–not that I’m saying you would need it.

@AntoinetteE:  Firstly, massive congrats on your engagement, and welcome to the bee!

Secondly, I’m from the UK and most people’s rings here are in the 0.25-0.4ct range; bigger than that is unusual. Mine gets a lot of comments because it’s a cluster, and has a lot of ‘finger coverage’; so I get a lot of comments about it being big lol. So coming on here and seeing some of the rings was a bit of an eye-opener!

What’s funny is that although my own ring is on the large side (in terms of coverage) I tend to find the ‘smaller’ rings the most attractive; the big ones don’t really do it for me, unless it’s a cluster which I’m rather partial too lol). So to me, yours doesn’t look at all small, and it is very beautiful, and classic.

I am shocked though that someone would ever make comments like that; if anyone says anything again I would be direct, and tell them that you find their comment rude and distasteful; I wouldn’t let them get away with it TBH.

Also, I agree with other posters re getting it re-sized; I’d probably go up a size.

Whoever made those comments to you is pretty crappy. What a low thing to say!

I think your ring is lovely, it’s very classic!

That being said, it looks like the band might be sized to small for your finger. It looks a little tight, and it should be able to slide a bit further down on your finger. Maybe you could look into getting it resized and you’ll be happier with how it looks on your finger 🙂

@AntoinetteE:  Beautiful ring and congratulations on your engagement! Your stone looks so white, it must be a very nice quality. I would say that your band looks a little small, you might want to go up a size in that or definitely for the wedding band as it will sit below your e-ring. Either way, it’s perfect and congrats!

No, your ring is not too small. The diamond is a great size. My personal preference would be for a slightly thicker band, that one appears to be pinching a bit, and a wider one will probably do that less…and the advantage to an 11.5 ring size is that you can wear a thicker band than other people and it will not overwhelm your finger. But, the band you’ve got is a classic, and almost everyone’s ring pinches a bit sometimes, so if it was just one of those moments, I’d say just keep rocking that beautiful ring!
