wow. not at all. If I saw that ring I would think it was beautiful. I dont know anybody who could afford a ring like that. If anything people here would pay a lot of attention to a ring like that because of the size/colour. I guess this is hugely dependant on where you live.

all that matters is what you think. there will always be somebody with a ring bigger than yours. bigger does not = better.

Seriously? I live in Dallas too and have seen MUCH smaller stones and women MUCH more extatic about the fact that they even have one. Real or not. My ring is about the same size and I don’t think it is small at all. Living in Dallas means nothing in regard to ring size. All it means is that you are stuck with horrendous traffic and hot summers.

I think your ring is nice!! It has a good size! From my experience: My first ering was a .50 center stone, with 1.5 ct total. I thought that was too small but everyone always complimented my ring out in public as being big and gorgous! My new ering is 1 carat round center, with swirling bands. I LOVE IT. It’s more me (:

mandypop:  but I don’t think she actually was intentionally fishing for a compliment. In a world of halo rings and celebs with golf ball sized rings, we are inundated with pics of people w huge rings that cover the entire finger. Now her ring isn’t small but neither would I say it’s “zomg huge Ring porn!!!” I think the question was more ‘how does this look in proportion to my finger?’ which is a pretty valid question. I personally don’t think it’s small, I find it lovely, however since it is a radiant cut, those have a smaller appearance than say a princess or round due to table size

obsessivebee:  i agree with you. I think at the end of the day, if you think it’s too small it’s ur perogative to get a bigger one. Forget all the carp everyone is feeding you about loving it for what it is, people act like u don’t love ur fiancé just bc u have an issue w the ring. Get a grip people! If I have to wear one piece of jewelry every day for the rest of my life and bear his babies and grow old and fat, I want it to be my dream ring and not one I settled for out of sentimental value.

shirl195:  First, “bigger ones” generally cost more $$, so it may not be her prerogative. Second, this is an ancient thread.

doberman:  1. The question was if her ring was too small, in which case the answers will directly affect her opinion of the ring. And regardless of whether she can afford a bigger ring, it still would be her perogative. 2. If you wanted to make a point that the thread was ancient, you should’ve never replied back to me
