I think it is gorgeous. It is the most unique and pretty kite setting I have ever seen. I noticed your post in another thread earlier today and thought to myself how absolutely stunning it is.

It’s exquisite.  But if you don’t like it change it when you’re ready.

It’s not something I would choose for myself but good Lord no–it’s not ugly!

It looks great on you, and I like it! Since I like to stack my rings, it would be a cumbersome style for me to wear.

I think it is beautiful! I love unique settings and my center stone is turned kite as well. Give it a week and if you still don’t like it, then change it. I personally love it, but it is your hand, your ring.

I honestly really like it. But, I’m a strong believer in being in love with your ring so I’m not sure what to tell you if youre not

I think it’s nice!! But if you don’t like it and it’s going to bother you, then you should change it.

Since you’ve only had it for couple of days, try wearing it for the next 6 months and if you still don’t like it then, then change it.

For me, my engagement ring was round solitaire “tiffany setting” with slightly thicker band and I didn’t like it initially but thought it would grow on me but after 10 months, I started hating it more and more because of the low setting and thick band (2.5mm).

Ended up going to another jeweller to have it re-set to thinner band with cathedral setting (still 6 prong solitaire).

Even for a simple classic round solitaire, it bothered me so much because I wear it every single day . Now I am so happy that I changed it. I think with wedding rings and engagement rings, you wear it every single day and you will be looking at it everyday. If there’s anything about it that you don’t like, it will bother you heaps.

Try it for 6 months. If you still don’t like it then, change it.

kraines99:  I think it’s great – I really prefer unique and vintage-look rings over the standards. Love the design on the sides as well.

kraines99:  In my personsonal experience, especially with jewelry, things don’t just grow on me. Not saying it isn’t possible for other people, but that’s myt deal. Usually, I know right away when I love something and when I don’t. It seems like you know exactly what you need in order to love it.

I love it! My ring is a kite setting too– I didn’t even know those existed before my fiance gave it to me– and I absolutely adore it. People always comment on how unique it is! Yours is even more special because of the art deco influence. I say give it some time, and if you still don’t like it, go ahead and make it what you want. But I think your ring is stunning, so if I were you I’d leave it!

I think it’s a cool, very unique ring but I wouldn’t want to wear it every day, would save it for certain outfits.
