I think that even though she was the bride, it was INCREDIBLY selfish to go as far as to ask people not to wear makeup?? I feel she did it as a way to ensure that absolutely no one looked better than she did, even her bridemaids, that’s selfish and it takes a real friend to look past that, so kuddos to you.

I bet SHE had on makeup!

sarahbee88 :  Glad it went well. I understand your insecurities. I used to always wear a full face of makeup but my skin is very oily and I tried every brand of foundation and translucent powder I could get my hands on (cheap and expensive). My skin was still an oil mess within 2 hours so I eventually gave up makeup and felt super weird for a while but then my skin actually started glowing more as it wasnt being smothered by makeup 12 hours a day. Now I prefer a makeup free look.

Hold up, what? She asked guests not wear makeup? I just…. what?! How do you even ask that? That’s so rude and OTT. It’s one thing to ask the BMs (but still rude imo) but guests?! And they did it? Wow. What a lucky brat!

sarahbee88 :  Major points for being the bigger person here! Hopefully now that this wedding is over, she can deflate a little and return to her normal self. Best of luck to y’all!

I think to comply was enabling and ultimately did the bride a disservice.

I believe that this “friend” is going to try to get some sort of viral fame from this. Who… WHO in their right mind would want this for real? I bet the photos look AWFUL. Fancy gowns and hair and no makeup… no way.

Sheesh, I just feel bad for the poor husband. If she requests that her bridal party and guests go sans-makeup, imagine the things she expects and demands from him.
