I have not even had my first fitting (my dress should be in next month!) but I am trying to get my shoes and accessories now so that when it does get in I can experience the complete look.
I have some ideas of what I’d like, but I’m worried it will be a little overwhelming, especially because I am petite. I’d love to give you bees an idea of what I’m thinking of and hear your thoughts about it..
first of all, here is my dress! I got it in champagne/ivory
here is a close up picture of the lace detail
I’m thinking about ordering these fingeless lace gloves to go with it
and these lace booties
and I’m thinking of wearing a simple floor length drop veil as well. I love the look that veils give and have had so much fun looking at all the different styles
do I need to tone down the accessories? If anyone has any pictures of themselves on their big day wearing any of these items, I’d love to see them! Thanks In Advance bees

Honestly, I’d go without the gloves, but I love everything else. If the gloves are your style, then go for it, though!

No to the gloves. No, no no.

I think it all looks awesome! Love those glove things! So delicate 🙂
But if you feel like it may all be a little much then those would be easiest to cut out, though honestly, how many times will you get to go all out like this? 😀 best of luck to you x

don’t go overboard with the lace, your gown is beautiful as it is. keep the focus there.

I think that if this fits your style then it totally works. I could see this looking amazing on a bride, specifically if I knew that it was her.

@Rosegold: I agree that the gloves are a little much. You could buy a ‘lace applique’ to use to wrap your bouquet – it would help to incorporate the lace look. 🙂

thank you for the imput so far! I really appreciate it.
I’m still thinking about the gloves. With the veil, and bouquet, they may not be needed. Something I’d definitely wear though!

Your dress is beautiful! I’d skip the gloves.

I agree with PP, no to the gloves. it’s just too much and will take away from the beautiful lace on your dress, imo

@Rosegold: I’m not a fan of the gloves but think the booties are adorable.
Honestly, if you really love the gloves, I think your dress is simple enough (and I mean that in the best way) that it wouldn’t be too much. You could always get them, try on everything together and then decide.

I’m not feeling the gloves. Maybe a lace bracelet is a good substitute if you really wanna go that route.

No gloves!! Everything else is fine.

axe the gloves.
you will have rings, a fresh mani, and a bouquet – you don’t need lace flip flops for your hands.
