Hi! I’m a new soon-to-be bride. My boyfriend and I opted for a moissanite for the same reason many on here have. I’m not a big jewelry person anyway. But I am paranoid that my ring has a tiny of yellow. I live in Los Angeles where there’s a HUGE jewelry district and I got it there. (Yes, I picked out my own ring) but after reading some boards I started looking at it more and more. I hadn’t noticed anything when i fir saw it. Does it have a tint of yellow or am I just being paranoid. Is there anything I can do after the purchase to make it more white? Here’s a pictur.

I don’t see yellow but it is nice and warm – not in an unpleasant way though. Worry not, it’s a beautiful ring!

It doesn’t look yellow to me but from the pics it looks like it has some warmth to it. It’s lovely though x

It looks a little warm, but I think it’s all personal preference. What type is your stone? Classic/Forever Brilliant? Maybe you should return and go for the Forever One.

I wouldn’t say yellow, but it is warm. I agree F1 may be better for you.

Thanks for the compliments bees! It’s a classic. That could be why. We did a lot of research on the difference between diamond and moissanite but I probably didn’t do enough on how to select my preferred type of moisy. I LOVE my ring though. 🙂

Yeah classic does tend to be quite yellow and moody. Depending on how white you want, I would consider getting an FB or F1 stone.

It’s very hard for me to tell the color at all based on the pictures. Maybe post more pictures? It didn’t look yellow based on what you posted.

Your stone doesn’t look yellow but it is difficult to judge from pictures.
Upgrading to a Forever One stone would be your best bet if you’re concerned.

It doesn’t look yellow from your pictures but I can tell it’s got warmth to it. The classic has the tendency to be quite yellow and moody in certain lighting so if that bothers you, I would opt for a forever brilliant or a forever one if you like very white stones.
I included a picture of my moissanite earrings that are forever brilliant vs my e ring that is a forever one. I tried for similar lighting so you could see how the brilliant is warmer than the one.

Yes I see it, but my hubby is a jeweler. He sees it too. Like others have said, try an upgraded one that is white Like the forever one. It’s still a pretty stone, yours I meant.

albakazam: It does look warm but I wouldn’t say it’s yellow. Which type of Moissanite is it? Looking at its warmth I’m guessing it’s more of a classic, maybe a forever brilliant. If your worried about colour and warmth I would look higher up the moissanite scale. Have you considered a Forever One moissanite? It’s a lot whiter stone.

It does look light yellow to me, but it is still very sparkly and beautiful! What does it look like on your hand in natural light?
