Please don’t get upset… the little band almost looks like you couldn’t afford anything else.  Two bands look better but still small in comparison.   Have you considered just using your ering only? Use that as your wedding band also.   I did that with my first marriage.   My center stone was 2.8ct with another 1.5ct in smaller side diamonds.   I had no room for a band so I got married with my one and only ring performing double duty.

Wow! What a beautiful engagement ring. I think the best band for this ring would be a thick solid metal band. That way the rings are in no way “competing” for attention if that makes any sense.

Both rings are pretty, it just seems a little off balance, perhaps you can put a larger spacer band between the two a solid gold band or something.

I would like it better paired with a plain band.

I think that both are beautiful, but maybe the combination is a little unbalanced? Have you thought about adding another similar wedding ring on the other side to frame your engagement ring, to give the whole thing more symmetry? (And also ‘eeek more jewels’!) Having said that though, nobody but you is really going be concerned if you see what I mean so don’t let it take away from your enjoyment of either! 🙂

I agree with PPs that a plain band or wearing your wedding band on your right hand would be good options. You don’t want to detract from your beautiful 3-stone and if you were to get a band with diamonds of the size that would be proportional, that would basically take up your whole bottom part of your finger. Which for me at least would be odd.

I think I’m a minority but I actually like it – I suppose you could also do a plain band and I don’t think it would be much different so maybe its not worth the money to buy a diamond band? But I think it looks nice as is – nothing will compete with that e ring anyway so I think buy what you like. A diamond band will also look pretty alone…
