Hmm…not sure about dated, but it does have more of a vintage-y vibe. What is the center stone…ruby? I love it! Such a pretty colour.

I think it has a vintage look, but looks awesome!

Nice ring. 🙂

I don’t understand the “dated” worry.  Do you like it? Does it make you smile? Then BAM! It’s perfect!

i dont think it looks dated, it looks more vintagey, like it could`ve been an antique. And as long as you still love it who cared!

But if you dont like it anymore no shame in getting it updated, you could use the stones ffor a new ring ot other piece of jewellery

My first thought was “Oh My!…”. But that’s only because it covers so much of your finger… I think my rings only cover a quarter of my finger from knuckle to knuckle.  Totally personal preference!  My second thought was “…That’s awesome!”.  Just cause I wouldn’t wear doesn’t mean it isn’t very nice and pretty, and sparkly!

Who cares what anyone else thinks, you’re wearing it!  When we designed mine (remade my DH’s parents engagement ring) I even had a jeweler tell me “I could do that but you wouldn’t like it.”  Ha, no money or business for you!!!  He’s right tho, I don’t like it, I love it! 🙂

If YOU think you’ll get sick of it that’s one thing, but don’t worry what anyone else thinks.

I think it looks vintage. But vintage/antique could mean old in your book.

It’s a different style (and I mean that in a good way); I’ve never seen a ring like that!  I think it’s too unique to feel “dated”.  Beautiful!

I think it’s cool! It looks fashion forward to me, as opposed to dated. Yellow gold is coming back in style in a big way- you can see it in the accessories stores. They have more yellow gold fashion jewellery than white. I bet in 3-5 years we’ll see many more yellow gold e-rings.

It looks unusual, but it is quite ornate and striking.  I don’t think there’s any fashion reason not to wear it.  Now, I might not wear it to the beach …

My first thought was 90s….maybe 80’s.

Is that what you mean by dated? as in you can tell what decade it’s from?  I could be totally wrong.
