I was thinking also that it reminds me of Sophie Turner’s ring.  I think it’s beautiful and unique.

I find it odd, but not tacky. Do you think it’s tacky?

Definitely not tacky. It’s a little busy for my taste, and I feel like the top band detracts from the shape of the pear. That’s a gorgeous center stone and the setting doesn’t do it justice in my opinion. 0% tacky though!

ETA: Had to look up who Sophie Turner was lol. But I found her ring and love how the tip of the pear sticks above the top band. That’s an idea if you were looking to make a change. Also agree with poster after me that the shape is getting lost in your tattoo, which also adds to the busy-ness.

It’s a beautiful ring–the tattoo muddies it up a bit as the form is lost. With the tattoo it would almost be better if the center stone was smaller so the lines were cleaner.

Love the ring, do not like the tattoo at all. It’s blown out and detracts from the ring. I would consider having it removed.

It certainly isn’t , it’s merely different . And rather delicate which is rarely synonymous with tacky, if by that you mean vulgar and flashy. Shall you have a wedding ring like one of the bands? That would look good . Or a fine thin plain band .

I had to enlarge to see what the apparent blurring round the edges was, then l realised it was an old tattoo. Are you ok with the way it detracts from your ring , just asking….?

l love your ring personally.

@mward:  Your ring is really beautiful! I personally couldn’t wear something like it because I’m so clumsy and hard on my hands. As long as you love it, nothing else matters!!

I am so blown away at the amount of people discussing the tattoo like that was part of OP’s question…..

I think it’s unique and unusual. I definitely don’t think it’s tacky, although I don’t know it looks comfortable, being so wide. But that’s just my little side note, since it’s not what you asked!

@jaydeeplatinum:  I’m not blown away people are bringing it up because as soon as I noticed someone’s comment about it, I realized how much it influenced my opnion of the setting. I think most people here don’t have a problem with tattoos. It just happens that this one lines up with the pear in a way that a lot of people aren’t crazy about.
