Not tacky at all! I definitely don’t think everyone could pull this off, but  because you have nice long slender fingers it really works!

I can’t imagine ever calling a ring someone else loved tacky. Calling other people’s belongings tacky is what is tacky.

Sometimes you do have to ask: “do I love it?” and “do I feel comfortable wearing it?” sometimes you can love something and still feel a bit odd wearing it. I think its pretty normal once you’re wearing a ring to be like “WAIT IS THIS RIGHT? did I pick the right ring, do I need to tweak it, is it exactly the way I want it to be?” I’d say just give it 2 weeks to let your feelings settle and then re-assess. I feel this way whenever we make a big purchase, rings, weddings, cars, apartment deposits, anything. There’s a moment where you’re like “this is the ONE” and then a moment of “oh no did I do this right” and then peace again.

I love how it frames your tattoo. I think these days, everything goes when it comes to engagement rings. I would wear it for a few more weeks, and if you still feel this way get it reset. Once you have in your head that your ring looks “tacky”, or whatever else, it is a bit hard to shake that.

For what its worth, I really like it 🙂

It’s not my personal style but I definitely wouldn’t call it tacky! It’s very modern looking and I’ve been seeing more rings like that but have not seen anyone in person with one as an engagement ring or with a pear. I like that it’s unique and not something you see all the time. As long as you love it that’s what matters, wear that ring with confidence!

@mward:  i have a custom anniversary ring and at times i do worry if people are going to think its gaudy (i told this to the jeweler, that i did not that to create something like that as we were planning lol). But then it hits me: its unique, its mine, and it means the world to know the meaning behind it. I dig yours!

It wouldn’t be my pick, but I don’t think it’s tacky.

I absolutley LOVE it!! I have long fingers and this is right up my alley!! Even if it’s not someoen’s taste i can’t imagine anyone would call it tacky, maybe different or unique or even modern, but to me tacky means very showy or gaudy and I dont find this ring to be that at all.

@cc33ammy:  alrighty!!!

I guess people are just a little more in depth with their thoughts about it, since she was asking about the ring itself, and not the ring with the tattoo.. I guess I expected the answers to be solely about the ring .. but I guess not!

I would call it delicate/vintage/unique. It compliments your slender fingers (and your tattoo)
